So that was Christmas...

So that was Christmas...

Well, the trees have been collected and (most of) the mince pies are gone, but for us at boxlocal, Christmas is still very much fresh in our minds!

We did the planning; we did the prep but nothing could truly prepare us for what was to be our busiest time to date. Despite the inevitable challenges (and late night packing sessions!) we had an absolute ball delivering all of your Christmas boxes. We wanted to share a bit more of our story and of course our eternal thanks to everyone involved!

We had some really gorgeous boxes going out for our ever-growing and fabulously diverse client-base, all varying in size and themes. Hard-working employees were truly appreciated more than ever in 2020, and our clients treated them to some wonderfully unique local gift boxes. We received so many lovely testimonials and have been sharing these this week on our socials, go check them out.

We were blown away with all of the personal orders coming through and cannot thank our incredible customers enough! Every day we would send out huge numbers of bespoke boxes all across the UK, all lovingly hand-picked with personal notes included. Despite Christmas being so different for so many of us, we really felt the love being sent out with every box!

What was also so fantastic to see was the volume of support for local businesses. Our suppliers were the busiest they have ever been and whilst that brought unprecedented challenges, there was a tangible community spirit amongst everyone involved. Christmas 2021, we are coming for you and we are bringing back-up!

Just before December we launched our fundraising campaign and competition which saw us raising a grand total of £4,000 to The Grand Appeal. There are just no words! We had been wanting to do this for a while and were so glad we took the plunge. As you will all now know, this is a cause that is so close to our hearts, having recently experienced first-hand the dedication of the Bristol Children’s Hospital staff. We are massively grateful to everyone that donated and took part. The hand-picked winner of the £100 prize box was coincidentally Kathryn Clayton, who works at the hospital herself, we cannot think of a more worthy winner!

We wanted to round up by saying a HUGE thank you to all of our wonderful clients, customers, suppliers, distributors and everyone involved in the boxlocal journey. We could not have done this without you!

Stay tuned for some exciting announcements from boxlocal HQ over the next few weeks. 2021 is going to be bigger than ever!
