Local Legends: Meet the Bristol Makers Behind Your Favourite Boxlocal Hampers

Local Legends: Meet the Bristol Makers Behind Your Favourite Boxlocal Hampers

At Boxlocal, we’re all about celebrating the brilliant bunch of makers right on our doorstep. Every hamper we send out is packed with flavour, personality, and a whole lot of local love, and it’s all thanks to the incredible small businesses we work with.

From zesty chutneys to expertly crafted spirits, these are the local legends bringing the magic to your Boxlocal gifts.

GingerBeard’s Preserves – Totterdown, Bristol

Small batch? Big flavour. GingerBeard’s Preserves is made by Harry in Totterdown, a man who knows his way around a chutney. From punchy hot sauces to sweet-spiced relishes, every jar is made with care and a generous dash of boldness.

Try the Moroccan Spiced Apple Chutney, it’s a total game-changer with a slice of cheddar.

6 O’Clock Gin – Thornbury, South Glos

Slick, smooth and seriously good-looking, 6 O’Clock Gin is a firm favourite in our drinks range. Made just up the road in Thornbury by a family-run distillery, their London Dry Gin is clean, classic and crafted to perfection.

Fancy adding a bottle to your own hamper? Pop over to our Build Your Own page and make it yours.

Bristol Distilling Co. – Bedminster, Bristol

Sharp branding, smoother spirits; Bristol Distilling Co. are keeping things cool down in Bedminster. Their Distilled Vodka is clean, crisp and dangerously drinkable,  just how we like it and perfect for someone who loves their cocktails with a local twist.

Mr Filbert’s – Somerset (but a Bristol fave!)

Snack game strong? You’ve got Mr Filbert’s to thank. Their gourmet nuts and nibbles are crafted in Somerset and a regular feature in our best-selling savoury hampers.

We’re partial to the dry roast peanuts, the perfect snack for pairing with a glass of something chilled.

The Fine Cheese Co. – Bath (close enough!)

Alright, they’re technically in Bath, but we’re claiming them anyway. The Fine Cheese Co. knows their stuff, and their Olive Oil & Sea Salt Crackers are hands-down the best base for your cheese board.

Find them dotted through our hampers or add a pack to your own bespoke box. They never last long…

Zara’s Chocolates – Southville

Looking to sweeten things up? Say hello to Zara. Her handmade chocolate is smooth, rich and oh-so-giftable, the kind of treat that feels like a hug in a box.

We’ve packed them into our Chocolate Mad Hamper, but you can also mix and match them into your own gift for someone who’s got a soft spot for something sweet.

Shop Local. Gift Happy.

When you buy from Boxlocal, you’re doing more than just giving a great gift, you’re backing brilliant Bristol makers and keeping the community thriving (and well-fed!).

So whether you’re saying thank you, happy birthday, or ‘you’ve got this’, we’ve got the local goods to help you do it in style.

Explore our full hamper range or head over to the Build Your Own Hamper page and create something totally one-of-a-kind.

Ready to shop small and gift big? Go on, let’s do local, together.
